Today, John Beltran announces ‘Sunrise And The Life We Live’, a new ten-track LP for Music For Dreams that reconnects with the melodic drift and reflective pulse that first defined his pioneering ambient techno work in the mid-90s. The title track is released as a digital single today, the LP will be available on 11th September, and a digital edition follows on 16th October.

The album arrives thirty years after ‘Ten Days of Blue’, the quietly influential record that helped position Beltran at the more emotive edge of electronic music. Since then, his catalogue has moved through periods and fusions of house and techno, breakbeat, ambient composition, and Latin-jazz influenced projects for a multitude of esteemed labels, always guided by a sense of openness and human warmth.
‘Sunrise And The Life We Live’ is shaped by memory, travel and personal transition. Written between live performances, home recordings and stretches of reflection, the album documents a period Beltran describes as “a great year with the people I love”, while also carrying the emotional residue of separation and change.
“The title speaks for itself”, he says. “It’s about a life lived full of colour. At this point my music says a lot about me. It’s spontaneous and emotional, nostalgic, soulful and colourful. It’s my identity. This one means a lot to me. I’m proud of it.”
‘Sunrise And The Life We Live’ will be released via Music for Dreams on 11th September 2026 on LP, followed by digital formats on 16th October 2026.
